Summary of Board
The commission shall be subordinate to the executive assistant to the mayor for the purposes of administrative supervision. Commission consist of an 11 member board with four-year term; appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the city council; chairman receives $242.52 per month for each month that the commission holds at least one meeting that the chairman attends and other members receive $215.58 per month for each month that the commission holds at least one meeting that the member attends. Pursuant to the 1988 City of Springfield Code of Ordinances, Ch 33 Sec 33.002(d) No person shall be appointed to an office for more than three consecutive terms.
